Why focus on the quality of pedagogy? For many teachers, for a very long time, it has been common sense to say that what matters most in students’ learning occurs within classrooms (or whatever the learning setting happens to be). Educational research has finally caught up with teachers in recognising the importance of teaching. The above document title really should have been titled Quality Learning... Even though the changes in education have been in effect for nearly a decade the thinking is still back at the chalk n talk teacher oriented structure of the past. This document focuses on:-
